Scooter Braun to HOST “Sunday Funday Showcase” at SXSW

March 6, 2014

Scooter Braun, Founder of SB Projects, a full-service entertainment and media company with ventures integrating music, film, television, technology, brands, and philanthropy, will host “Sunday Funday Showcase,” an event at South by Southwest featuring live performances and activations from Buffalo David Bitton and Op on Sunday, March 9 from 12 pm to 11 pm at Banger’s in Austin, Texas.

Cody Simpson, Dan + Shay, Tori Kelly and Rixton will perform, as well as surprise guests. Proceeds from all games and activities will benefit Pencils of Promise, a nonprofit that increases access to quality education for children in the developing world, and Fuck Cancer, a movement that activates Generation Y to engage with their parents about early detection of cancer.

“The Sunday Funday Showcase is a celebration of music and interactive at SXSW, highlighting what the conference is really about…the synergy of our two businesses of music and tech,” said Scooter Braun. “I’m looking forward to bringing some of the most talented young acts in the world together at Bangers for a night to remember. While riding the mechanical bull is going to be great, the best part is that it all goes to support two of my favorite for-purpose organizations, Pencils of Promise and Fuck Cancer.”
